RED Garlic Bistro Cafe

I met up with Nina (daughter of my best friend from post-grad) to catch up on each others lives at RED Garlic Bistro Cafe along Katipunan Ave. Q.C.

TIta D and Nina

For starters we ordered Santiago Chili Poppers.

Crunchy with just the right hint of spice.
Verdict: Masarap

For our main dish we ordered the US Angus Beef Shortplate and Malaysian Beef Caldereta.

Beef was really tender and tasty.
Verdict: Pwede Na

Beef was kinda dry and it lacked the creamy taste of Kaldereta
Verdict: Walang Kwenta

What can save this restaurant is their desserts. I got Hush Poppies while Nina got the Panacotta w/ Fresh Fruits.

Hush Poppies are rounded re-fried buttermilk batter with cinnamon, caramel and a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream on the side. Super soft and melts in your mouth. Sinful yet worth all the calories.

Verdict: Super sarap

Creamy and not too sweet

Verdict: Pwede Na

The overall experience is quite good but they need to improve on the quality and tenderness of their meat. The waiters are very helpful and can explain whats on their menu. The acoustic of the place needs improvement and more parking spaces should be provided or better yet valet service should be available.
